THE SEASON OF ADVENT…“ADVENT LIGHT
The Apostle Paul wrote: “Come, Lord Jesus!”  The day of Christ’s return gets closer every day.  The Season of Advent (which means
coming) further helps us prepare; stay ready; and diligently work to build God’s kingdom until His return.  This year our hearts and lives will be stirred as we hear again the timeless message of Christ’s coming—through Scripture Readings that point to Him during Advent.  Under the theme: Advent Light—WALK IN THE LIGHT, we will have Wednesday Midweek Worship with brief, devotional Services at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The musical tradition continues this Wednesday,  December 20—at the 7:00 p.m. service with “Christmas At Cross” and features special music from all of our vocal and hand bell choirs!

Remember also the FELLOWSHIP SUPPER that is served from 5:30 until 6:30, for a free will donation.  This week, our hosts is the Stewardship Board, and the menu includes: pulled pork.  Plan now to make these Worship Services special times of Advent preparation for you and your family!

END OF DECEMBER SERVICE MODIFICATIONS
Sunday morning, December 24, will be our regular Worship and Sunday School/Bible Classes schedule.  That evening, we will have two Worship Services, held at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  There will
not be an 11:00 p.m. Service this year.  On Sunday, December 31, we have our regular Worship and Sunday School/Bible Classes schedule.  There will not be an evening New Year’s Eve Service this year.

CHRISTMAS EVE GLOW
A special feature of the two Worship Services this Christmas Eve will be individually-held candles (and glow sticks for our littlest ones!) during the singing of Silent Night.  Plan to join us!

ADVENT & CHRISTMAS AT-HOME DEVOTION BOOKLETS
Love Came Down is the title of the devotion booklet that is available to you today!  You’ll find copies of the take-home devotion in the back of the Sanctuary and also in the narthex.  Why not also take one to give to a friend or neighbor as an invitation to join you at church?!

SPECIAL BIBLE CLASS PRESENTATION
Pastor Duane Meissner, missionary to Belize, will lead the Adult Bible Class that meets in the Fellowship Center on Sunday, December 31.  All are invited to hear “our” adopted missionary, and find out the latest blessings from the Lord on the work being done in Belize!
