VICAR’S SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS
Vicar Dwight Wyeth continues an in-depth look at and review of Luther’s Small Catechism—on the basis of the new (2017) edition!  Martin Luther wrote the Small Catechism in 1529.  Still today, it stands as a standard for instruction of basic teachings of the Word of God.  Come and join us!  You needn’t own a copy of the Catechism…through the wonders of technology, it will be projected for us!  However, purchasing a copy is available to you, in the church office, for $14.49.

SECURITY SYSTEM UPDATE
The Cross Lutheran Church & School security system is nearing the full finish line implementation.  If your card of fob denies access to any of the Cross buildings, please notify Glen Hendricks.  Please do not use a key to enter the following facilities:  Administration/School building, School Modular building, Fellowship Center, and Sanctuary.  The use of a key triggers a signal that the security system has been bypassed and the Security Monitoring Center generates a phone call to the Cross Lutheran Church & School Security System Monitoring Person and that person must react to the call and investigate the situation.  The Monitoring Person, investigating the situation, then must call the Security Monitoring Center to inform them of the results of the investigation so they can close the incident report.  REPEAT:  Do not use a key to enter the following facilities:  Administration/School building, School Modular building, Fellowship Center, and Sanctuary.  If you have any questions, please call Glen Hendricks on his cell phone:  210-287-2498.

DIVINE CALL RECEIVED
I want to thank you for all of your kind words and prayers regarding the Call to serve at Our Savior, Aiea, HI.After prayerful consideration, Melissa and I have decided to decline the Call and remain at Cross. We request that you keep our family in your prayers, however, as we deliberate an additional Call to Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church and School in Fort Lauderdale, FL.I want to emphasize that allowing my name to be on the list of roster candidates that would consider a Call does not mean that I desire to leave Cross or am unhappy or unfulfilled in my ministry here.My family has been tremendously blessed by the Cross Lutheran family, and we look forward to continuing our ministry here until God leads us to other adventures.Once again, thanks for loving us and caring for us as we walk together with you in mission. Corey Brandenburger
