Now that we are back to having two church services each Sunday, the health ministry team is asking for volunteers to help clean the church after the early service to sanitize prior to the late service. This is actually very simple. The church provides gloves, bucket, soap, wash rag and water, we need you to provide the elbow grease! After early service, all surfaces need to be wiped down, namely the wood surfaces of the pews, countertops, and the door handles. While it sounds like a lot, Jennifer Kimmet and I have been doing it, and with only 2 of us, we are finished in less than 15 minutes. When others help, it takes even less time! The elders have been wonderful with helping, but they still have their elder duties to complete, so we are asking members who are able to give a few minutes of your time.We are hoping to have enough volunteers that each of us will only clean once a month. Please consider helping us keep Cross safe and healthy! To volunteer, contact the church office or Tammy Krueger by phone or email, 830-627-8197 or     Thank you!

If you would like to come to the Sanctuary and receive the Lord’s Supper from your pastors, please call the church office to schedule a time.  The schedule runs Monday through Friday in the afternoons.

If you have been at Cross in the month of September, you’ll know that we usually have baby bottles available—loaned to us by Options for Life, the Life Ministry in our community.  We spend the month of September collecting money in those bottles that are returned on the first Sunday in October and given back to Options.  This year we have the opportunity to support this life ministry via their online baby bottle campaign.  Please see the insert in the bulletin, or on our website and social media.  God bless you, and thank you for standing for life—and for loving and serving those who choose life!

Our church-supported and operated Food Bank (S.O.S.) located at 248 W. Merriweather Street in New Braunfels is open Monday through Friday 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  It is also open Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.  The Cross crew work the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the afternoon.   Volunteer workers (2nd and 4th Tuesday afternoons) are welcome and needed!  Larry & Verlea Potter, Roger & Mary Kay Wilkie, Carolyn Culbertson, Mary Schmoldt, Richard & Karen Gabriel, Ray & Pat West and Chuck and Virginia Witte will enjoy giving information.  You’re welcome to drop by the Food Bank for a visit on our work afternoons.
