As we believe that
Christ is truly present with His very body and blood in this Holy
Supper, so we also believe that oneness in both faith and doctrine is
biblically affirmed for those who receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion together.
Motivated by biblical principles and with pastoral concern, this
congregation of Lutheran Christians practices "close communion" (see 1
Cor. 10:I6, 17-21 and 11:26-29).
We invite and welcome to the
altar those who share our confession of faith as fellow members of a
sister congregation of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod and those
who have been instructed in our congregation. Other worship guests are
asked to respect
this practice, speaking with the pastor before
attending the Sacrament.
