Women
Altar Guild The Altar Guild was formed for the purpose of caring for the altar and chancel appointments. Contact Pat West at 830-643-0899 for information.
Dorcas Guild (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) Members serve to extend God's Kingdom and for the welfare of the church. The Guild meets as a group in the Parlor four times a year, on the first Tuesday of March, June, September and December at 7:00 p.m. Within the Guild are four Circles which meet monthly during the remaining 8 months of the year. Dates and locations for meetings are announced in the church bulletin and newsletter. All women of the congregation are invited to visit/become a member. World Relief Quilters The World Relief Quilters meet each Monday from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Quilter’s Room. They make tied quilts for Lutheran World Relief and lap robes and bibs for local nursing homes. No experience is necessary to help and projects are available to be taken home and sewn. Cross Hand Quilters The Cross Hand Quilting Group meets each Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in the Quilter's Room. This group does hand quilting projects. You may call the Church Office on Thursday mornings at 830-625-3666 (ask for the Quilter's Room) for information about hand quilting.

Men
Men's Club (Lutheran Laymen's League) All men of the congregation are invited to meet monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor. The group promotes fellowship and congregational service. Contact Jack Sevcik at 830-899-7185 for more information.

Community Service
Braille Team Workers from Cross Lutheran do their work each third Monday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in San Antonio. They normally complete 6 – 8 Braille books of the Bible each month. Contact the Bob Gwyns to learn more at 830-438-2351.
Meals on Wheels A community service in which members of Cross Lutheran participate, delivering meals to those who need that service. You may contact Barbara Pinson at 830-964-4373 for more information.
Spirit of Sharing (S.O.S.) Community Food Bank Cross has a food collection each first Sunday of the month and other Sundays the collection cart is in the Large Kitchen of the Worship Center. Items collected are those typically needed by a family. In addition to supporting the food bank in this manner, Cross members volunteer on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month beginning at 1:00 p.m., serving as the Food Bank team to handle clients. Health
Whole Person Health Ministry This ministry provides holistic health care through teamwork with the Pastor, School Principal, and Elders. The emphasis is upon a spiritual recognition that God is the giver of life and healing is a part of the restorative mission of Jesus. Volunteer coordination focuses on holistic health care with Cross by assigning tasks in conjunction with member care as requested. Contact Carol Schroeter, R.N. at 830-625-3666 for more information.
