SUNDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION
The Board of Christian Education be collecting Sunday School Registration forms May 11th and May 18th. The registration forms were in the middle of the May issue of Cross Ties. Please turn in your family's completed form to the table outside the Parlor after either Church service or Sunday School. Extra forms are available at the table as well.Promotion Sunday is June 1st and by turning in your family's form, you will help us maintain accurate class rosters and SS attendance records. Thank you for your help!
VOTERS MEETING The regular May meeting of the voting assembly of Cross will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.TIME FOR PERSONAL PRAYER & MEDITATION The Board of Elders will host a time for the Worship Center to be open, allowing you to come for a time of prayer, meditation, and solitude. This will take place Saturday, June 7, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. You are welcome to come & go as you wish during that time.VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2008!!!This years theme is: “Friendship Trek: Jesus Our Forever Friend” and is available for children 4 years of age through those who have finished the 7th grade. Please join us June 16th-20th, from 9 a.m. until noon. The registration form was included with the May edition of our monthly newsletter, “Cross Ties” and is also available in the church office or by visiting our website (see the home page link). Everyone is invited to come and help. There are lots of different jobs available! Contact Teresa Jeffers, Angela Erickson or the church office. AND REMEMBER — please register by May 31st!! CAMP LONE STAR NEWS! Once again, the Youth Board will help defray the cost to send your children to Camp Lone Star this summer. The Board will give $50 for every weekend camper and $100 for every week long camper. In order to receive this benefit for your child, you must register with Camp Lone Star online at www.lomt.com. Once you have registered, make a copy of your registration form and return it to Angela Erickson in the Church Office. We will then send a check to Camp Lone Star. The deadline to receive this from the Youth Board is Monday, May 19th.

M.B.B.C. That stands for Men’s Breakfast Bible Class. We meet from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. each Friday morning. We’ve begun a study of the New Testament books of 1, 2, and 3 John! Men—bring your Bible & join us! We meet at the Clubhouse at Landa Park Golf Course. Directions: take Seguin St. to Landa Park Dr., turn into Landa Park. Take Golf Course Dr., and it winds around to the Golf Course parking lot. The food’s good, the fellowship is great, and the Bible study faith-nurturing!
SCRIP Scrip is sold in the School office (during office hours) or on Sundays in the large kitchen, between services. Please direct any questions to Nadine Fink, Phyllis Theis, or Laurie Holmes.
BIBLE CLASSES Cross Lutheran has a Bible Study Class available almost each day of the week. Visit here to find classes, schedules, and teachers.
PASTOR'S ADULT SEMINAR
This seminar is held several times during the year for those desiring to learn more about the Christian faith from a Lutheran perspective. It is also for members who wish to reinforce their Lutheran training.
The Seminar is led by Pastor Fraker on two consecutive Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Usually the classes are the first two weeks in January, in May, and in September. Lunch is provided and child care is available. Watch the bulletin and newsletter for information and registration details or call the Church Office at 625-3666 for more information.
