From the Director of Christian Education Angela Erickson
A NOTE FROM ANG....
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
Driving through my hometown of Greeley, Colorado, I am always struck by the differences I see. The neighborhood movie theater was completely torn down and a Walgreen's built in its place. The church I attended now has a new sanctuary. New stores, new homes, new roads - things look differently now from when I graduated high school (ten years ago this summer)!
Life is full of transitions. From the time we are born to the time we die, we constantly change. At this juncture in life, God is calling me to a transition. I am excited about teaching 6th grade here at Cross Lutheran School this fall. I look forward to the different challenges and joys that will come from this change in ministry. The greatest blessing about this transition is that I am not physically leaving. I will greatly miss the responsibilities and direct interaction with the youth and children of Cross, and their families.
I thank each and every one of you for the support given and prayers said for Kyle and me, and for our growing family. We feel so blessed to be a part of this place and to be serving with you all. To Pastor Fraker: you have been a wonderful guide, mentor, shepherd, and friend. Thank you for your leadership and encouragement. A big “Thank You” to the Youth Board and Board of Christian Education, with whom I have worked closest during my time as DCE. Thanks to the youth for relationships built and memories that will last a lifetime. You can still call me whenever you need to, at any time of the day or night. Remember who you are and Whose you are. We are definitely blessed to have the DCE Intern role filled by the wonderful Hailey Jo Moore, who already is doing a fabulous job. God is going to bless us through her ministry here. Please keep her in your prayers as well! God's blessings to you all! Go in peace and serve the Lord!
